building4Frame2Construction on Building 4 is going strong and will be ready for new tenants to move in January 2018.We are actively working with tenants to reserve this space, and two spots currently remain available. If you want to grow your food business and make it happen in 2018, now is the time to contact us. The next round of buildings won’t be available until 2019 so this is the opportunity to jump in!

We are looking for dedicated Vermont artisans to be part of our culinary showcase in the heart of Shelburne, including coffee roasters, bread bakers, cheese makers, cider producers, artisan meat crafters and more. viewfromBuilding4There is big momentum with our food and beverage producers at the Village. Vermont Tortilla Company and Douglas Sweets are thriving after just one year of setting down roots here. Their tasty products are now available in stores all over the state and in Whole Foods locations across New England and beyond.

Fiddlehead Brewing draws scores of loyal fans and new visitors to their brewery on our site. We are also thrilled to share that Wild Hart Distillery is now up and running as part of our community with a big grand opening happening on November 11.

Building 4 provides:

We have a team of builders and architects ready to build the perfect space for your business. Building 4 is almost booked and this space will have a common loading dock. Construction on this new building is zipping along with the foundation complete and the steel structure due within the next week.

Exciting things are cropping up at the Vermont Artisan Village as our tenant list continues to expand.  Four outstanding culinary and beverage companies have joined our site in the past year, including Vermont Tortilla Company and Douglas Sweets. We are also excited to have an amazing craft brewery and distillery as part of the village.

We are searching for ice cream crafters, bread bakers, cider and cheese makers, coffee roasters and more to join us in Shelburne.  We are also looking for the perfect tenant to join us on site as the exclusive cafe’ for the Vermont Artisan Village.

Shelburne is home to acres of conserved farmland and a thriving food and farming community that includes Bread & Butter Farm, Shelburne Vineyards, Shelburne Orchards, and the renowned Shelburne Farms. Our newest space, Building 4, is currently in the design and permitting stage. Get on board now to occupy this new building as your own space with a projected mid-2017 move-in date. All permitting and architectural drawings can be provided by us, and we build each space to the tenant’s specifications.  Details include:

Foundations For Growth

The Vermont Artisan Village in Shelburne has reached a construction milestone this week!  We are happy to report that state permits have been approved for foundation work at our site.  This sets the construction projects for Buildings 1 and 2 into high gear!

These customized buildings will allow our two most recent tenants to produce and showcase their local products in spaces as unique as their businesses. Building 2 (see drawing above) will be the home of the Vermont Tortilla Company and their fresh corn tortillas.

The staking work is currently underway and the foundation forming follows next week.  We are also working on a strong tenant lead for Building 3.  Contact us to join the excitement at our collaborative community of local artisan producers!

Vermont Tortilla Company Leads the Way

tortillasThey have impressed the local food community with their unique corn tortillas, and now we will be breaking ground for them at the site of the Vermont Artisan Village in Shelburne!

Fresh from taking second place at the local food business competition at Healthy Living Market and Café, Vermont Tortilla Company needed to find the right space to grow their emerging business.  They have found their match at the Vermont Artisan Village in Shelburne and we are thrilled to have them as the first tenant at the new site!  Vermont Tortilla Company will showcase their technique and product in a built-to-suit production and retail hub among fellow local food and agriculture producers.

Vermont Tortilla Company founders, April and Azur Moulaert, have always had a passion for food that is produced in a sustainable manner. The Moulaerts are excited about being in the company of other small food producers as part of the Vermont Artisan Village community.

Their artisanal tortillas are produced with local organic non-GMO corn.  Vermont Tortilla Company is one of only a handful of places in the US that make corn tortillas the traditional way, using an ancient process called nixtimalization.
